The AP-RASC'10 Young Scientist Program Committee is pleased to announce that the following five students have been selected as finalists of the AP-RASC'10 Student Paper Competition (SPC). Congratulations to all of you!

The three SPC finalists traveling from outside Japan with an "x" in the "GRANT" column above will receive a travel grant of 1,000 Euro (in cash) at the maximum upon their arrival at the conference site. The travel grant varies depending on countries where the finalists live.
All the SPC finalists must confirm that they will attend the Conference. It is guaranteed that the SPC finalists will each receive:
- free registration
- free banquet ticket
- free accommodation covering the full conference duration (check-in: September 21, 2010, check-out: September 27, 2010)
Basic accommodation near the conference venue (Toyama International Conference Center) will be provided by the AP-RASC'10 Steering Committee.
It is required that the SPC finalists
- present their papers at SPC Special Session, 13:00-16:45, Wednesday, September 22, 2010
- present their papers at regular oral/poster sessions
- attend SPC/YSA Joint Reception, 18:00-20:00, Thursday, September 23, 2010 (YSA: Young Scientist Award)
- attend Conference Banquet, 18:00-20:30, Friday, September 24, 2010
At the SPC Special Session (open to all participants) on September 22, 2010, members of the AP-RASC'10 Young Scientist Program Committee will judge presentations by the five finalists and select the three winners (1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes). There will be the "SPC/YSA Award Ceremony" at the Conference Banquet on September 24, 2010, where the three winners will receive the following prizes:
- 1st prize: a certificate and 1,000 Euro (in cash)
- 2nd prize: a certificate and 750 Euro (in cash)
- 3rd prize: a certificate and 500 Euro (in cash)
In addition, the two non-winning finalists will each receive a certificate identifying him/her as a finalist at the Conference Banquet.
Invitation letters will be sent to all the SPC finalists along with more details.
